EGX closes Wednesday in green on Arab buying

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices ended Wednesday’s trading on a positive note, backed by buying activity by Arab and Egyptian investors.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose marginally by 0.08% to the level of 13,334.86 points.

Likewise, the EGX70 index advanced 0.59% to 668.31 points, the EGX100 index levelled up 0.62% to 1,536.23 points, and the EGX50 index ascended 0.19% to 2,095 points.

Turnover amounted to EGP 958.4 million as 281.3 million shares were exchanged through 25,600 transactions.

Net purchases by Egyptian and Arab traders reached EGP 18,400 and EGP 1.48 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 1.5 million.

Market capitalisation increased EGP 2.76 billion to EGP 696.7 billion.
