Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) lost some of its morning gains by the end of Wednesday’s trading session, as market capital increased by EGP 1 billion.
The benchmark index EGX30 added 0.19% or 25.24 points, and closed at the level of 13,289.99 points.
EGX70 gained 0.5% and closed at 582.48 points, while the broader index EGX100 grew by 0.13%, closing at 1,349.73 points.
On the other hand, the equal-weighted index EGX50 fell 0.33% and closed at the level of 2,113.51 points.
Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) rose 0.88% to EGP 79.24, with 1.6 million traded shares and a total turnover of EGP 129.1 million.
The market cap went up by EGP 1.04 billion to EGP 666.66 billion.
Traded volumes reached 290.2 million shares, and traded values registered EGP 1.27 billion, through 35,100 transactions.
