Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday on a mixed note amid Egyptian and Arab selling.
The benchmark EGX30 index closed down 0.35% or 48.76 points to the level of 13,881.97 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) tumbled 2.09% to EGP 79.48, with a turnover of EGP 130.19 million.
The EGX70 index rose 1.72% to 798.2 points, while EGX100 index grew 1.14% to 1,788.63 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.9% to 2,342 points.
Trading volume reached 319.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.3 billion through 37,600 transactions.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 78.3 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 41.14 million and EGP 37.2 million, respectively.
Blue chips including Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt (ADIB) and Arabian Food Industries Co (Domty) fell 6.11% and 2.09%, respectively.
