Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices advanced collectively on Thursday, as the benchmark index went up 0.41% or 25.1 points to close at 6,079.13 points on Arab investors buying activity.
The small and mid-caps index inched up 0.03% to 349.94 points, while broader index EGX100 edged up 0.64%.
The weighted index EGX50 went up 0.66% to 1,131.42 points.
The stocks of Commercial International Bank, Palm Hills, EFG-Hermes and Qalaa Holding went down 0.06%, 1.74%, 0.72% and 0.81% respectively.
The stocks of Talaat Moustafa, Porto Group, Pionners and Emaar Misr advanced up by 1.49%, 6.9%, 0.89% and 1.38% respectively.
The market capitalization gained EGP 431 million ($54.9) reaching EGP 389.7 million.
The market’s total value amounted to EGP 14 million, with 133.9 million shares.
Out of 159 stocks traded today, advancers outnumbered decliners by 73 to 44, while 42 stocks remained unchanged.
Arab investors came as net buyers with EGP 14 million, while local and foreign investors came as net sellers with EGP 5.3 million and EGP 8.7 million respectively.
