EGX creeps lower in early trading

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) saw a pullback at the last early trading session this week as the main benchmark EGX30 edged down 0.16% or 9 points to 5,938 amid sales of national and foreign investors.

The small and mid-cap EGX70 fell 0.23% to 349.5 points. The broader index EGX100 slipped 0.17% to 704 points. In contrary, the equal-weighted index EGX50 inched up 0.24% to 1,096 points.

Trading value reached EGP90 million after 45 million shares were traded in 4,500 transactions.

Nationals and foreign investors were net sellers at EGP3.5 million and EGP9.7 million respectively, while Arab was net buyers at EGP13.2 million

Out of 104 companies, 32 rose; 38 fell; and 34 stayed unchanged.
