EGX down 1.2% by mid-session

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s main index declined 1.19% to 12,654.2 points by 12:01pm CLT on Sunday.

Similarly, the small and mid-cap EGX70 was lower 0.1% to 460.2 points.

The equal-weighted index EGX50 and the broader index EGX100 went down 1.2% and 0.2%, respectively.

Trading value reached EGP 520.8 million after 162.7 million shares were traded.

Nationals were net sellers by EGP 27.2 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 12.1 million and EGP 15.1 million, respectively.  

The largest EGX30 constituent, CIB, declined 0.3% to EGP 75.6 with EGP 27.7 million transactions completed by 12:06am CLT.
