Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session up on the back of foreign buying.
The benchmark EX30 index edged up 0.59% or 87.3 points to 14,962.14 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.21% to 859.56 points, while the EGX100 index levelled up 0.5% to 2,051 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.61% to 2,660 points.
Trading volume stood at about 238 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.01 billion through 27,250 transactions.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 182.7 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 125.3 million and EGP 57.4 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) inched up 0.16% to EGP 77.39 at a turnover of EGP 33.8 million.
Market capitalisation closed at EGP 856.23 billion and gained EGP 8.08 billion.
