Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index slipped 9.23 points, or 0.06%, finishing the session at 14,946.35 points, whereas the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.14% to 715.81 points, and the broader EGX100 index added 0.14% to 1,805 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index dipped 0.36% to 2,457 points.
Trading volume reached 308.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 915.23 million through 26,200 transactions.
Foreign investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 141.1 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 89.5 million and EGP 51.6 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slid 0.73% to EGP 72.25, with a turnover of EGP 163.42 million.
Market capitalisation added EGP 1.37 billion and ended the session at EGP 828.48 billion.
