Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday's trading session on a mixed noted.
The benchmark EGX30 index has changed its upward direction and slipped 62.49 points, or 0.45%, finishing the session at 13,906.31 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dropped 1.33% to 689.02 points, while the broader EGX100 index plummeted 1.11% to 1,733.13 points.
On the other hand, the equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.45% to 2,235 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 288.65 million shares exchanged through 30,260 transactions at a turnover of EGP 1.003 billion.
Egyptian investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 108.14 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 66.13 million and EGP 42.003 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slipped 0.86% to EGP 82.3 at a turnover of EGP 125.39 million.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 8.1 billion and closed the session at EGP 799.57 billion.
