Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note amid thin liquidity.
The benchmark EGX30 index has changed its upward direction, closing the session down 8.89 points, or 0.05%, at 18,295.57 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.47% to 877.19 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.51% to 2,306 points.
Trading volume reached around 367.69 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.8 billion through 37,150 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 244.2 million, while foreign and Arab were net buyers with EGP 162.9 million and EGP 81.2 million, respectively.
Market capitalisation lost EGP 383 million and closed at EGP 1.006 trillion.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.48% to EGP 94.25, with a turnover of EGP 26.27 million.
