EGX ends Monday mixed; market cap up EGP 2.2bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday's trading session on a varied note with the main EGX30 index declining alone by 0.5% to 11,497 points. 

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 2.09% to 2,209 points, while the EGX100 EWI grew by 1.47% to 3,195 points.

In the meantime, the EGX50 EWI advanced by 1.09%% to end at 2,060 points.

The market cap value increased by EGP 2.2 billion to close at EGP 735.56 billion on Monday, compared to EGP 733.34 billion on Sunday. 

The market's turnover reached EGP 674.288 million after 234.95 million shares were exchanged through nearly 30,170 transactions. 

Local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 15.76 million and EGP 27.17 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 42.94 million.
