EGX ends Monday mixed

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note with the main EGX30 index rising by 0.2% to 11,142 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 0.75% to 1,666 points, while the EGX100 EWI fell by 0.78% to 2,544 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI retreated by 0.98%, ending the session at 1,954 points.

The market cap value dropped by EGP 1.66 billion to close at EGP 614 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 35.017 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with about EGP 772,800 and EGP 34.24 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 1.67 billion after 646.98 million shares were traded through nearly EGP 52,890 transactions.
