Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.71% to finish the session at 13,787.8 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index went down 0.01% to close at 597.35 points, while the broader EGX100 index rose by 0.11% to close at 1,521.41 points.
Additionally, the equal-weighted EGX50 index grew by 0.74% to 2,062.66 points.
Market capitalisation gained about EGP 3.2 billion to EGP 745.12 billion on Monday from EGP 741.92 billion on Sunday.
Trading volume amounted to 62.75 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 311.56 million through around 11,370 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 18.7 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 4.6 million and EGP 14.1 million, respectively.
