Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) finished Sunday’s trading session on a negative note.
The benchmark EGX30 index fell by 1.02% to close at 13,672 points.
Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dropped by 0.82% to 539 points, while the broader EGX100 index declined by 0.9%, finishing the session at 1,390 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted EGX50 index went down 1.58% to close at 2,008 points.
Market capitalisation lost about EGP 7.8 billion to EGP 730.34 billion on Sunday, compared to EGP 738.18 billion on Thursday.
Trading volume totalled 136.21 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 2.54 billion through nearly 14,590 transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.018 billion and EGP 3.91 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 2.02 billion.
