Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) finished Sunday’s trading session on a negative note.
The benchmark EGX30 index slid by 0.37% to close at 13,460 points.
Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index retreated 1.17% to 526.74 points, while the broader EGX100 index dropped by 0.96% to 1,362 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted EGX50 index went down 0.18%, finishing the session at 2,001 points.
Market capitalisation lost about EGP 2.03 billion to EGP 723.29 billion on Sunday from EGP 725.32 billion on Thursday.
Trading volume amounted to 74.91 million securities exchanged at a turnover of EGP 503.59 million through around 10,940 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 89.15 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 10.08 million and EGP 79.06 million, respectively.
