Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has seen a mixed performance on Sunday amid purchases by Egyptian traders.
The benchmark EGX30 index closed the session up 0.59% at 13,343 points, whereas the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index shed 1% to 687.34 points.
The broader EGX100 index tumbled 0.51% to 1,721.9 points, while the equal-weighted EGX50 index slipped 0.54% to 2,188.32 points.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 3.41 billion and closed at EGP 760.528 billion.
Trading volume amounted to 136.26 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 643.05 million through 18,320 transactions.
Egyptian investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 29.31 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 17.38 million and EGP 11.92 million, respectively.
