Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a varied note.
The benchmark EGX30 index edged down 0.01% to close at 14,931 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index rose by 0.97% to 558.53 points, while the broader EGX100 index advanced by 0.54% to 1,477 points.
Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index grew by 0.05% to close at 2,183 points.
Market capitalisation gained about EGP 4.29 billion to EGP 777.55 billion on Sunday, compared to EGP 773.26 billion on Thursday.
Turnover amounted to EGP 1.98 billion after 123.88 million shares were exchanged through around 17,570 transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 395.2 million and EGP 28.6 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 423.8 million.
