Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a mixed note amid thin liquidity.
The benchmark EGX30 index shed 38.78 points, or 0.29%, finishing the session at 13,444 points.
The small- and medium-caps EGX70 index added 0.2% to 674.87 points, while the broader EGX100 index edged up 0.26% to 1,701 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index slipped 0.14% to 2,177 points.
Trading volume on stocks amounted to nearly 113.3 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 396.2 billion through 17,290 transactions.
Egyptian investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 54.03 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 49.32 million and EGP 4.7 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) dipped 0.11% to EGP 79.5, with a turnover of EGP 20.57 million.
Market capitalisation closed at EGP 764.6 billion and gained EGP 2.9 billion.
