EGX ends Sunday mixed

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a varied note amid local purchases and foreign and Arab selloffs.

The benchmark EGX30 index fell by 0.31%, ending the session at 10,823 points.

On the other hand, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 1.19% to 1,341 points, while the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.71% to 2,104 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 index went up by 0.1% to close at 1,643 points.

The market cap value dropped by EGP 147.7 million to EGP 579.4 billion.

Foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 3.8 million and EGP 1.7 million, respectively, while local investors were net buyers with EGP 5.59 million.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 760.7 million after 302.5 million shares were exchanged through nearly 33,700 transactions.
