EGX ends Sunday mixed

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a varied note amid local purchases and foreign and Arab selloffs.

The main EGX30 index inched down by 0.08%, ending the session at 10,902 points.

On the other hand, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 1.21% to 2,024 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose by 1.02% to 2,914 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 EWI increased by 0.36% to 2,071 points.

The market cap value retreated by EGP 472 million to stand at EGP 616.23 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 26.51 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 24.04 million and EGP 2.4 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.02 billion after 360.64 million shares were exchanged through nearly 40,830 transactions.
