Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading on a positive note supported by the buying activity of local investors.
The benchmark index EGX30 was able to break the 13,700 level in the last session of the week, as it rose by 116.83 points, or 0.86%, and settled at the level of 13,732.68 points.
Small and medium-sized enterprise index EGX70 added 1.55% and closed at 702.82 points, while the broader EGX100 gained 1.33% and ended the last session of the week at 1,760.33 points.
Equal-weighted index EGX50increased 0.28% to 2,200 points.
Traded volumes reaching 303.412 million shares, with a total turnover of EGP 959.9 million, through around 30,700 transactions.
Market capitalization grew by EGP 3.4 billion to EGP 776.8 billion.
