EGX ends Thursday mixed amid heavy liquidity

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s trading session, the last session of November, on a mixed note.

The benchmark EGX30 index inched up 10.01 points, or 0.08%, closing the session at 13,319 points amid heavy liquidity.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dipped 0.1% to 681.59 points, while the broader EGX100 index slipped 0.10% to 1,706 points.

Trading volume amounted to 259.9 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.7 billion through 25,290 transactions.

Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 218.5 million, whereas Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 42.9 million and EGP 175.5 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) leveled up 0.42% to EGP 74.5, with a turnover of EGP 202.8 million.

Market capitalisation lost EGP 1.5 billion and closed the session at EGP 750.7 billion.
