EGX ends Thursday on negative note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday's session in the red.

The benchmark index EGX30 shed 0.34% or 26.8 points reaching the level of 7,881.1 points.

EGX70 gained 0.81% to 351.6 points, similarly, the broader index EGX100 grew 1.03% to 790.26 points,

The equal-weighted index EGX50 lost 0.2% closing at 1,311.5 points.

Total traded value reached EGP 477.9 million with a volume of 157.6 million shares.

Market capital increased by EGP 796 billion closing at EGP 404.8 million.

The Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) fell 1.65% to EGP 47.75, with a liquidity of EGP 103.2 million.

On the stocks level, 55 shares levelled up, 71 levelled down and 45 remained unchanged.

Foreign investors tended to sales at a value of EGP 63.6 million, against purchases from local and Arab investors at a value of EGP 44.6 million and EGP 18.9 million, respectively.
