Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index shed 65.17 points, or 0.45%, finishing the session at 14,381 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.25% to 699.33 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index inched up 0.09% to 1,779 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 161.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 744.07 million through 19,800 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 53.2 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 12.005 million and EGP 41.19 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 1.08% to EGP 82.27, with a turnover of EGP 93.9 million.
Qalaa Holdings topped gainers with 6.075, while Juhayna led losers with 4.9%.
Market capitalisation closed the session at EGP 795.8 billion, losing EGP 819.6 million.
