Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index added 0.28%, finishing the session at 15,139.86 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX100 index dipped 0.09% to 706.66 points, while the broader EGX100 index remained stable at 1,790.01 points.
The equal-weight EGX50 index went up 0.27% to 2,461.78 points.
Trading volume amounted to 255.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.2 billion through 25,400 transactions.
Arab investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 77.4 million, whereas Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 49.5 million and EGP 27.9 million, respectively.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 1.26 billion and closed the session at EGP 834.19 billion.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) inched down 0.01% to EGP 71, with a turnover EGP 82 million.
SODIC’s stock topped the rising blue chip with 7.44%, while Palm Hills led losers with 2.03%.
