Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index inched down 1.71 points, or 0.01%, finishing the session at 19,685 points.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 2.5 billion and closed the session at EGP 954.28 billion.
The small- and mid-cap index EGX70 edged up 0.19% to 849.6 points, and the broader EGX100 index added 0.14% to 2,189 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.41% to 2,911 points.
Trading volume reached nearly 255.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.37 billion through 28,600.
Arab investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 77.45 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 10.07 million and EGP 67.37 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.52% to EGP 87.5, with a turnover of EGP 67.11 million.
