EGX ends Tuesday up on local purchases

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in the green territory on the back of local purchases.

The main EGX30 index advanced by 1.05%, ending the mid-week session at 12,419 points, while the EGX70 EWI rose by 1.05% to close at 1,137 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX100 index grew by 0.93% to 1,252 points, while the EGX50 index increased by 1.58% to 1,679 points.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 660.644 million after 192.062 million shares were exchanged through about 20,560 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 1.642 billion, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 29.695 million and EGP 1.613 billion, respectively.

Market cap gained about EGP 6.13 billion to EGP 641.79 billion.
