EGX ends Wednesday in green on local, Arab purchases

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index rose by 0.43%, ending the session at 10,556 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI increased by 1.57% to close at 1,850 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI grew by 1.33% to 2,707 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI advanced by 1.32% to 1,965 points.

The market cap gained EGP 5.1 billion to stand at EGP 608.432 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 73.26 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 68.019 million and EGP 5.2 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 810.44 million after 255.77 million shares were exchanged through around 30,620 transactions.
