Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a varied note.
The main EGX30 index declined by 0.42%, ending the session at 13,747 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index rose by 0.27% to 527.84 points, while the broader EGX100 index edged up by 0.15% to 1,386 points.
Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index advanced by 0.3% to close at 1,950 points.
Market capitalisation lost more than EGP 550 million to EGP 696.49 billion from EGP 697.04 billion.
The market’s trading volume amounted to 68 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.53 billion through about 11,600 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 1.077 billion, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 12.24 million and EGP 1.06 billion, respectively.
