Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has closed Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index added 33.48 points, or 0.23%, finishing the session at 14,766.59 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dipped 0.03% to 689.34 points, while the broader EGX100 index inched down 0.02% to 1,745.1 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.28% to 2,363 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 274.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.23 billion through 33,170 transactions.
Egyptian investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 91.49 million, whereas foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 69.79 million and EGP 21.7 million.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) added 0.34% to EGP 89, with a turnover of EGP 115.5 million.
Market capitalisation closed at EGP 813.12 billion and gained EGP 1.02 billion.
