EGX ends Wednesday mixed; market cap gains EGP 1.1bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a varied note with the main EGX30 index falling by 0.18% to 11,214 points.

In the meantime, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.22% to 1,834 points, while the EGX100 EWI added 0.16% to 2,736 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 index edged up by 0.01% to close at 2,013 points.

The market cap value gained EGP 1.1 billion to reach EGP 626.791 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 106.3 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 96.45 million and EGP 9.9 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 1.2 billion after 420.4 million shares were traded through around 39,030 transactions.
