Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index has changed its upward trend to finish the session at 14,313.17 points, losing 68.38 points, or 0.48%.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.56% to 703.23 points, while the broader EGX100 index edged up 0.21% to 1,783.17 points.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 200.05 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 722.12 million through 23,030 transactions.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 88.25 million, with Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 21.3 million and EGP 66.8 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 0.9% to EGP 81.7, with a turnover of EGP 33.5 million.
Market capitalisation closed at EGP 792.2 billion, shedding EGP 3.6 billion.
