Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index tumbled 82.74 points, or 0.57%, finishing the session at 14,554 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index shed 0.22% to 2,380.46 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index went up 0.31% to 683.63 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.21% to 1,731.92 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 177.916 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 749.839 million through 18,423 transactions.
Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 120.31 million, whereas Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 18.171 million EGP 102.137 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 2.18% to EGP 66.65, with a turnover of EGP 149.26 million.
Market capitalsation closed at EGP 823.96 billion and lost EGP 3.79 billion.
