Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index shed 0.28% at 13,365.58 points, losing 37.12 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index slipped 0.14% to 687.11 points, while the broader EGX100 index inched down 0.01% to 1,723 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index dipped 0.08% to 2,206 points.
Trading volume amounted to 216.15 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.04 billion through 29,400 transactions.
Egyptian investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 74.29 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 38.66 million and EGP 35.6 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) plummeted 2.09% to EGP 73.98.
Market capitalisation shed EGP 704.2 million and closed at EGP 763.8 billion.
