Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session near-stable amid foreign and Arab buying against local selling.
The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 76.20 points, or 0.52%, to 14,805.95 points.
The EGX70 index levelled up 0.12% to 844.82 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.13% to 2,025 points.
Market capitalisation closed at EGP 853.2 billion and gained EGP 3.9 billion.
Trading volume stood at about 250.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.01 billion through 27,250 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 90.5 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 53.9 million and EGP 38.6 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) added 0.69% to EGP 74.32 at a turnover of EGP 38.6 million.
