Cairo – Mubasher: EGX indices collectively finished Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
Stimulated by the purchases of foreign investors, the benchmark rose by 1.15% to 7,637.04 points for the third straight session.
Foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 295.149 million, while Egyptians and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 309.253 million and EGP 14.10 million respectively.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 was also 0.47% higher to the mark of 1401.77 points.
Market capitalization added EGP 1.12 billion to reach EGP 405.194 billion on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 fell by 0.82% to 367.28 points. Further, the broader index EGX100 was 0.49% lower to 776.85 points.
In terms of trading value, Credit Agricole – Egypt was the leader with a turnover of EGP 257.015 million after 11.17 million shares were traded. Its stock quote rose 0.43% to EGP 23.10.
In the second place, the largest EGX30 constituent, CIB, came with a turnover of EGP 174.30 million, ending the session 1.13% higher to EGP 44.70.
The top gainers were Memphis Pharmaceuticals (+5.61%), SODIC (+4.83%), and Minapharm Pharmaceuticals (+4.78%).
On the other hand, the top losers were Arab Pharmaceuticals (-5.22%), Acrow Misr (-4.12%), and Abou Kir Fertilizers (-4.10%).
