Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in green on Thursday, boosted by the purchases of foreign investors.
The benchmark EGX30 index added 144.05 points, or 1.12%, to close the last session of the week at 12,984 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index grew 0.21% to 673.83 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.13% to 1,684.18 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index rose 0.99% to 2,132 points.
The bourse’s trading volume reached 137.6 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit EGP 633.8 million.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 18.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 11.57 million and EGP 6.8 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 1.05% to EGP 73.4.
Market capitalisation recorded EGP 740.7 billion.
