Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s session rising by 1.2% or 153.6 points to the level of 12,959.68 points.
Likewise, the EGX70 index advanced 1.56% to 501.37 points, the EGX100 index increased 1.55% to 1,221.48 points and the EGX50 index grew 1.61% to 1,964.58 points.
Turnover amounted to EGP 137.3 million as 29.2 million shares were exchanged by 10:33am Cairo time.
Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals made the highest turnover of EGP 22.2 million, the stock rose 3.76% to EGP 21.5.
Heavyweight CIB increased 0.66% to EGP 77.53, with a turnover of EGP 4.9 million.
Net purchases by Arab investors reached EGP 9.7 million, while local and foreign investors were net sellers by EGP 4.5 million and EGP 5.1 million respectively.
The EGX30 index fell last week by 2.18% or 284.98 points to the level of 12,806.07 points, while the EGX70 index grew 3.2%.
