Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a positive note with its benchmark EGX30 index rising by 0.75% to 11,160 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 2.08% to 1,692 points, while the EGX100 EWI increased by 1.66% to 2,571 points.
Likewise, the EGX50 index advanced by 1.16%, ending the session at 1,966 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 4.5 billion to close at EGP 616.55 billion.
Local investors were net buyers with EGP 40.78 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 2.87 million and EGP 37.9 million, respectively.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.28 billion after 520.9 million shares were exchanged through around 40,490 transactions.
