Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.
The main EGX30 index climbed by 2.07% to stand at 11,391 points.
Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI advanced by 2.8% to 1,740 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose by 2.6% to 2,638 points.
In the meantime, the EGX50 index increased by 2.06% to close at 2,006 points.
The market cap value grew by more than EGP 10.6 billion to reach EGP 627.19 billion.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 27.58 million, while Arab and local investors were net buyers with EGP 26.7 million and around EGP 838,300, respectively.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.4 billion after 526.27 million shares were exchanged through nearly 49,050 transactions.
