Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) suspended the trading activity on Thursday by 2:23pm Cairo time after the benchmark index EGX100 rose 5%.
As per EGX trading mechanisms, the bourse administration halts all trading activities for thirty minutes if the main index hits 5%.
By 2:23am Cairo time on Thursday, the EGX30 closed 4.52%, or 462.66 points, higher to the mark of 10,688.16 points.
