Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) suspended trading on eleven stocks, since they each exceeded a 5% drop or rise, during Sunday’s session.
Reacap topped the halted descending stocks, followed by El Orouba Securities Brokerage.
Meanwhile, Nile Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries-Nile topped the ascending stocks, breaking over by 9.98%, followed by Memphis Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries (MPCI) by 9.95%.
It is worth mentioning that the EGX also suspended trading on National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (NBK), Suez Bags, Cairo Educational Services, Arab Engineering Industries, Modern Waterproofing (Bitumode), Egyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank), and Egypt Aluminum.
By 1:25 pm Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.13% or 16.32 points to the level of 12,942.72 points.
