Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) suspended trading on 69 stocks after less than thirty minutes of the beginning of Sunday’s session.
Trading halt included Telecom Egypt, Palm Hills, SODIC, EFG-Hermes, and Madinet Nasr Housing and Development.
EGX main index plummeted 5%, or 380 points, to the mark of 6872.8 points by 10:09am Cairo time.
Analysts expected Cairo bourse to see a steep decline thanks to shock outcome after Britons have voted to get divorce from the European Union (Brexit), said analysts.
