Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index retreated 0.79% to close at 13,510 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.02% to finish the session at 532.96 points, whereas the broader EGX100 index fell by 0.08% to close at 1,375 points.
Additionally, the equal-weighted EGX50 index slid by 0.4% to 2,005 points.
Market capitalisation declined by EGP 2.73 billion to EGP 725.32 billion on Thursday, compared to EGP 728.05 billion on Wednesday.
Trading volume reached 122.84 million securities exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.01 billion through nearly 13,930 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 62.05 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with about EGP 812,540 and EGP 61.24 million, respectively.
