Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session with a varied performance.
The benchmark EGX30 index went up 0.11% to close at 14,013 points on Sunday, compared to 13,997 points on Thursday.
On the other hand, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index slid by 4.52%, finishing the first session of the week at 570.28 points, while the broader EGX100 index fell by 3.89% to 1,464 points.
In the meantime, the equal-weighted EGX50 index declined by 0.43% to close at 2,078 points.
Market capitalisation plunged by EGP 3.84 billion to EGP 746.23 billion on Sunday from EGP 750.07 billion on Thursday.
Trading volume recorded 128.08 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 687.166 million through nearly 12,070 transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 48.88 million and EGP 41.83 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 90.722 million.
