Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a positive performance early Wednesday on the back of foreign and local buying.
By 10:18 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.05% or 6.83 points to 15,030.59.
The small- and medium-caps EGX70 index added 0.09% to 836.09 points, while the broader EGX100 went up 0.06% to 1,983.57 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index gained edged up 0.45% to 2,605 points.
Trading volume stood at about 10.3 million shares exchanged through 1,180 transactions at a turnover of EGP 45.4 million.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 17.3 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 16.5 million and EGP 817,200 respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slipped 0.62% to EGP 76.5 at a turnover of EGP 290,800.
