EGX hovers over 18,350 pts early Sunday on local buying

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has opened Sunday’s trading session up on the back of local buying.

By 10:29 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 5.79 points, or 0.03%, to 18,369.08 points.

The EGX70 index edged up 0.43% to 869.55 points, and the EGX100 index inched up 0.01% to 2,291 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.35% to 3,095 points.

Trading volume amounted to about 98.2 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 143.8 million through 3,130 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 18.3 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 6.3 million and EGP 12 million, respectively.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) dipped 0.01% to EGP 94.98.
