Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices closed on mixed note on Wednesday, while the market capitalization shed EGP 773.6 million on selling pressures by foreign investors.
The benchmark index EGX30 slide by 0.57% or 46.82 points to close at 8,185.95 points, on the declines of both CIB and Talaat Moustafa.
The small and medium caps index EGX70 inched up 0.03% to 343.09 points, while the broader index EGX100 slipped 0.05% to 790.71 points.
The equal weighted index EGX50 added 0.20% to close at 1,305 points.
The market witnessed 142.4 million shares changed hands worth EGP 666.8 million.
The market capitalization shed EGP 773.6 million reaching the level of EGP 409.45 points.
Local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 31.9 million and EGP 22.8 million respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 54.7 million.
