Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Wednesday’s close by 0.46% or 59.72 points to the level of 12,993.4 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX70, EGX100, and EGX50, indices fell by 0.39%, 0.29%, and 0.15%, respectively.
Trading volume reached 352.8 million shares exchanged at EGP 1.2 billion via executing 31,800 transactions.
The market capitalisation increased by EGP 849.8 million to EGP 670.39 billion.
Net sales reached EGP 12.4 million by Egyptian investors and EGP 19.2 million by Arabs, while net purchases by foreign investors amounted to EGP 31.6 million.
Credit Agricole, Orascom Telecom, Eastern Company, and Global Telecom rose between 3.5% and 0.7%.
Heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) advanced 0.60% to EGP 77.
On the other hand, Universal, Orascom Construction, Porto, GMC, and Juhayna fell between 6.3% and 3.2%.
