Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session with a mixed performance.
The benchmark EGX30 index remained unchanged at 14,137 points.
Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index retreated 0.16% to close at 602.53 points, while the broader EGX100 index fell by 0.16% to 1,539 points.
On the other hand, the equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.05%, finishing the session at 2,111 points.
Market capitalisation lost about EGP 410 million to close at EGP 756.65 billion on Wednesday, compared to EGP 757.06 billion on Tuesday.
Trading volume amounted to 231.81 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 830.65 million through around 19,120 transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 80.62 million and nearly EGP 559,070, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 81.18 million.
